Meet Mrs. RefslandPatti Refsland is an experienced teacher who specializes in making learning fun and accessible to all regardless of cultural and economical background. She is presently enrolled at Bemidji State University in the graduate program for licensure in Middle School Mathematics. Patti earned a K-12 Minnesota teaching license in Health Education at Moorhead State University and an AA degree in Theology and Business at Trinity Bible Institute.
She has a proven track record of helping students succeed. She brings a wealth of diverse teaching experience in and outside of a traditional classroom setting. She currently teaches 5th and 6th graders at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School in International Falls. Prior to that, she taught for ten years at Cass Lake Bena’s Alternative Learning Center and Adult Basic Education program, helping students obtain their GED or MN Adult Diploma. She is a professional development presenter for MN ABE teachers too. Patti’s passion for making learning fun continues to inspire her students with continual explorations in nature, gardening projects, method science experiments, and book sharing. Patti especially loves math and emphasizes that all games use math; therefore, math equals games! |
